"The North wind doth blow and we shall have snow, And what will poor robin do then, poor thing? He'll sit in a barn and keep himself warm and hide his head under his wing, poor thing."
I have read that the purpose of the words to 'The North Wind doth blow' is to ensure that a child associates security with home while empathizing with the plight of the robin.
Yes, I empathize with all things that want to be warm. I often tuck my nose under the fuzzy blanket in my house. Not while painting but when its quitting time. The whole month of November is a "give thanks for" month. I am thankful for a home to shelter us and for the freedom to paint, draw and create in general. I am thankful for people who hire me to paint a mural and to buy a painting just when I need it most.
Thank you for all you have done in supporting the arts and a Happy Thanksgiving to you also!
